Privacy policy

Who is the data controller

This policy applies to this website, to any enquiries you make by phone, WhatsApp or email, and to our relationship with our customers. It complies with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the GDPR, RGPD in Spanish) and Spain's Organic Law 3/2018 on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD).
What data we process, why and on what legal basis
Quote requests and enquiries
- Data: name, phone number, email address, business name, services you are interested in and the message you write.
- Purpose: to reply to you, prepare and send you the quote and, if you ask, arrange a visit.
- Legal basis: your consent when you tick the box and submit the form or when you contact us (Art. 6.1.a GDPR), and taking pre-contractual steps at your request (Art. 6.1.b).
- Retention: as long as needed to deal with your request and, if it does not lead to a contract, up to one year. After that it is deleted.
Customers
- Data: identification and contact details, installation address, billing details and the technical data needed to provide the service (equipment, incidents, authorised access).
- Purpose: to perform the contract: installation, maintenance, support and warranty, invoicing and payment collection.
- Legal basis: performance of the contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR) and compliance with legal obligations, such as tax and commercial ones (Art. 6.1.c).
- Retention: for the duration of the relationship and, afterwards, for the periods required by law (generally between four and six years, depending on the obligation).
CCTV in our shop
- Data: images of people entering the shop in Armeñime. There are information signs at the entrance.
- Purpose: security of people, property and premises.
- Legal basis: legitimate interest in security (Art. 6.1.f GDPR and Art. 22 LOPDGDD).
- Retention: a maximum of 30 days, unless the footage must be kept to prove an incident or handed over to the authorities.
Browsing this website
This website does not use cookies or any analytics or advertising tools (see the Cookie policy). As with any web server, the hosting provider may technically log your IP address, the date and time and the page requested, solely to ensure the service works properly and securely.
Marketing communications
We will not send you marketing communications by email or other equivalent means unless you have previously requested or agreed to them (Art. 21 LSSI-CE, Spain's Information Society Services and E-commerce Act).
Who receives your data
We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. It is only disclosed to:
- Providers that process data on our behalf (data processors), under a contract in line with Art. 28 GDPR: the web hosting provider (Hostinger), the management and invoicing platform (Zoho), the email service (Google Workspace) and our tax and accounting advisers.
- The manufacturer or service provider when you contract equipment with a cloud service (for example, an alarm control panel or a camera system with remote access).
- The Tax Agency and other public administrations and authorities where required by law; and the police and law enforcement agencies or the courts, in the case of CCTV footage.
International transfers
Some of the providers mentioned, such as Google (email) and Meta (WhatsApp), may process data outside the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States. They do so with the safeguards required by the GDPR: an adequacy decision by the European Commission (for example, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for certified companies) or standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability, and withdraw your consent at any time (without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal), by writing to info@okcomputertenerife.com or by post to our address, stating the right you are exercising and enclosing a copy of your ID document. We will reply within one month at most.
If you believe we have not properly dealt with your rights, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
Where the data comes from
You provide the data yourself. If you are the administrator, president or representative of a residents' association or a company, any contact details of residents or employees you give us for an installation must have been obtained lawfully; we will only process them to provide the contracted service.
Obligation to provide data and automated decisions
The fields marked as mandatory in the form are needed for us to reply; without them we cannot deal with your request. We do not make automated decisions or create profiles with your data.
Security measures
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or alteration: encrypted connection (HTTPS), access control, backups and a duty of confidentiality for the people who handle it.
Minors
This website is not aimed at children under 14. If you are under that age, do not send us personal data without the permission of your mother, father or guardian.
WhatsApp and other third-party services
If you message us on WhatsApp or use the “Prepare on WhatsApp” button, your messages are also processed by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own terms and privacy policy. The same applies if you click the links to Google (Maps and reviews), Instagram or Facebook: you leave our website and their policies apply.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to adapt it to the law or to changes in our services. The date of the last revision is shown at the top of the page.
