OK Computer installs the point of sale for bakeries, patisseries and bakeries with a shop counter all over Tenerife. Buttons by category for everything that has no barcode, scales that send the price to the till, invoices with tax ID for the bars that buy from you every day and, if you want, an automatic cash drawer so whoever picks up the bread never touches coins. Which POS does OK Computer recommend for a bakery or patisserie in Tenerife?

For a bakery or patisserie in Tenerife, OK Computer almost always recommends Sysme: retail software that charges a single loaf by the unit and a cake or biscuits by weight, keeps stock, prints labels and issues invoices with tax ID from the same till. If the shop also has tables and serves breakfast, Glop fits better, as it adds the café side with a waiter handheld. With several shops sharing items and prices, BDP.

A bakery is not like a supermarket: today's bread has no barcode. So the screen is organised by category (bread, pastries, cakes, drinks) and anything sold by weight comes from the scales with the price already worked out. The second distinctive feature is the trade customer, the bar or restaurant that collects bread every morning and needs its deliveries in its name to receive a full invoice.

OK Computer loads the items, prices and IGIC rates at its shop in Armeñime (Adeje) before arriving, installs the system in half a day in the afternoon or on your closing day, and trains whoever serves. Afterwards the same team provides the support.

SYSME, GLOP OR BDP

Three POS programs for bakeries. We choose according to your shop.

OK Computer installs all three and earns no more from one than another: the recommendation comes from how you sell.

SYSME · BREAD AND PASTRY COUNTER

The usual choice for a bakery with a counter

Sysme is strong in retail: scales, stock, labels and invoicing customers with a tax ID from the till. It is what we install in most bakeries and patisseries without tables.

  • Sales by unit and by weight
  • Stock by item
  • Price labels
  • VeriFactu and IGIC set up
GLOP · BAKERY WITH A CAFÉ

When breakfast is also served at the table

If your bakery has tables or a terrace, Glop brings the counter and the café together in one program: a handheld for the tables and quick sales at the counter.

  • Counter and tables on the same POS
  • Handheld for the terrace
  • Quick cash-up
  • VeriFactu and IGIC set up
BDP · SEVERAL SHOPS

The same items and prices in all your shops

With two or more shops, BDP manages items and price lists from one place and shows each shop's sales. OK Computer is the official BDP distributor in Tenerife.

  • Central items and prices
  • Each shop's sales as they happen
  • Rolled out shop by shop
  • VeriFactu and IGIC set up
HANDS ON THE BREAD, NOT THE COINS

Why an automatic cash drawer in a bakery?

Because the person picking up the bread with the tongs is usually the one taking payment, and many small purchases are still paid in cash. With an automatic cash drawer the customer puts the money into the machine, the exact change comes out and the employee never touches notes or coins. OK Computer installs Glory, SMARTtill and AT·CASH connected to Sysme, Glop or BDP.

  • Exact change, faster than counting by hand
  • Every shift's cash-up balanced without recounting
  • Cash kept in locked cassettes
  • Model chosen according to the cash your shop handles

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions about the POS for a bakery or patisserie in Tenerife

Which POS software is best for a bakery?

In most cases Sysme, for how it handles scales, stock, labels and invoices to customers with a tax ID. Glop if the bakery has a café with tables, and BDP when several shops share items and prices. OK Computer installs all three in Tenerife.

Can I issue one monthly invoice to the bar that buys bread from me every day?

The bar is set up as a customer with its tax ID and every delivery is recorded in its name; the full invoice is issued from the same software. We configure how you invoice your trade customers with you and test it on installation day.

Will my existing scales work?

It depends on the model and how it connects. We check before quoting: if it can be linked to the software, it is reused; if not, we suggest one that can.

How do I sell the same pastry by the unit and by the dozen?

Both ways of selling the product are created, each with its own price, and whoever serves picks one with a tap. The same goes for half loaves, assorted boxes or daily offers.

Will the bakery POS be ready for VeriFactu?

Yes. Sysme, Glop and BDP have an adapted version and we set IGIC product by product, because in a bakery not everything carries the same rate. On 5 October 2026 Hacienda announced that VeriFactu will be postponed to October 2028; until that change is published in the BOE (the official gazette), the rule in force keeps 1 January 2027 for companies and 1 July 2027 for autónomos (the self-employed).

What if the till fails first thing in the morning?

Most issues are solved remotely. For a business that opens every day there are plans with replacement equipment (Silver) and with weekend cover (Gold).
