Questions about VeriFactu
What is VeriFactu and does it affect me?
It's the verifiable invoicing system introduced by Royal Decree 1007/2023: invoicing software must record every receipt and every invoice in a chained way that the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT) can verify. It affects any company or autónomo (self-employed person) that invoices with a computer program, including the POS of a bar, a shop or a hair salon.
Will my current POS comply with VeriFactu?
If it's an up-to-date version of Sysme, Glop, BDP Net, Factory POS, ETPOS or STEL Order, yes. If it's another program, we check whether the manufacturer has released a VeriFactu-ready version; if not, we tell you in good time and migrate your items, categories and customers to one that does comply.
Do I need to replace the POS computer?
Not always. That's why we first check the hardware, the database and the operating system: many POS machines can handle the new version after a clean-up and an SSD drive. When it isn't worth it, we offer you a new machine with the software already configured.
How long does the adaptation take?
For a POS with up-to-date software, a visit of one or two hours, usually outside your busiest hours. If you need to switch software, we load your data before we arrive and the installation takes half a day.
What happens if I issue a receipt by mistake?
It isn't deleted: it's cancelled with a cancellation record or corrected with a corrective invoice, chained to the original. We show you how to do it in your software on the day of the adaptation, because it's the change of habit people find hardest.
