OK Computer installs the POS for beach bars, beach kiosks, pool bars and venues with large terraces in Tenerife. The network comes first: an outdoor Wi-Fi just for the handhelds, reaching the furthest table. Then Glop with the menu ready on the handheld, a card terminal that switches to 4G if the Wi-Fi drops and a UPS in case the power goes. VeriFactu (Spain's verifiable invoicing system) and IGIC (the Canary Islands sales tax) are set up from day one.
In a beach bar or a bar with a large terrace in Tenerife, OK Computer installs Glop with waiter handhelds and an outdoor Wi-Fi network designed for them. The waiter takes the order beside the table or the sunbed, it prints at the bar and in the kitchen, and the bill is paid on the spot with a handheld card terminal. For a beach club with several bars, or for anyone running more than one venue, OK Computer suggests BDP.
On the beach the software is rarely the problem; the setting is. Tables are far from the bar, there are walls, parasols and people in between, and the internet provider's router was never meant to cover a whole terrace. So the visit beforehand is used to measure the signal table by table and position the antennas; screens are chosen afterwards.
The rest is speed: a short menu on the handheld, drinks at a tap, payment at the table and a one-minute cash-up when you finally pack away. OK Computer prepares it at its shop in Armeñime (Adeje) and installs it in half a day, ideally before the busy season starts.

The base is the same as any bar; on top of that comes what you need to serve forty metres from the counter and keep taking payments if the connection fails.
The order is taken beside the customer and goes straight to the bar and kitchen. No more trips with a notepad.
Professional antennas placed after measuring: one network only for the handhelds and another, isolated, for customers.
The Dojo Go takes the amount Glop sends it; when the Wi-Fi doesn't respond, it charges over the 4G mobile network.
With Glop Pay the bill carries a QR code; whoever is at the table scans it and pays by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Bizum whenever they like.
The POS and printer stay on for one to two hours without power, enough to settle the open tables.
With seasonal staff, an automatic cash drawer counts what comes in and goes out and the cash-up balances without arguments.
Because they use a Wi-Fi that wasn't designed for them. OK Computer splits the venue's network in three: POS and printers on cable, an exclusive Wi-Fi for the handhelds with antennas covering the whole terrace, and a guest network for customers that can't see the payment system.

Spring is better than August: the network is tested calmly and staff reach the summer already knowing how to use it.

Drinks, dishes and modifiers loaded into Glop and the handhelds at our shop in Adeje.
Cabling, access points, POS, printers and card terminals in half a day, with test payments at the furthest table.
With the Gold plan you get weekend cover, unlimited visits and replacement of faulty equipment.
Yes. The POS, handhelds and printers work inside the venue's network, so orders keep coming in and tickets keep printing. For cards, the Dojo Go switches to 4G by itself. Pending VeriFactu records are sent when the connection returns.
It depends on the size, the walls and the shape, which is why it is measured on the visit. As a guide, two are enough for an ordinary bar terrace; a large venue needs three or four.
OK Computer installs a UPS with every POS: the equipment and printer last between one and two hours, time to settle what's pending and close the till properly.
In two ways: the waiter carries a handheld card terminal to which Glop sends that table's total, or the bill is printed with a Glop Pay QR code and the customer pays with their own phone. We set up whichever suits the way you serve.
There are five, from paying per call-out up to Gold. If most of your takings come on Saturdays and Sundays, a plan with weekend cover makes sense; we spell it out in the quote.
Yes: any business that issues its tickets with invoicing software falls under VeriFactu. Glop and BDP have an adapted version and we leave it with IGIC configured. On 5 October 2026 Hacienda announced that VeriFactu will be postponed to October 2028; until that change is published in the BOE (the official gazette), the rule in force keeps 1 January 2027 for companies and 1 July 2027 for autónomos (the self-employed).
Yes. Most are in Costa Adeje, Playa de las Américas and Los Cristianos, close to our shop in Armeñime, but we go anywhere in Tenerife. Call-out fee: €10 in Adeje, €20 in the nearby southern municipalities and €40 elsewhere, IGIC included.
Use the form below or message us on WhatsApp at 922 71 73 90: tell us how many tables you have outside and how far they are from the bar. We'll give you a rough figure that day and come to measure the coverage.
Every quote is personalised: for a shop, a home, a chain of venues or a large project. We come and take a look, propose only what you need and put it in writing, with no obligation. If you prefer, drop by our shop in Adeje.
