Since 2019 every company in Spain must record each worker's start and finish times and keep that record for four years. A paper sheet is acceptable, but a fingerprint terminal avoids arguments and gives you the report ready-made.

Is recording working hours mandatory?
Yes, since May 2019 for all companies in Spain and all workers, including part-time staff. Records must be kept for four years and made available to the Labour Inspectorate. A clock-in terminal solves it; a signed paper sheet is also acceptable, but it leads to more disputes.
Does fingerprint clock-in comply with data protection rules?
Only with great care: since 2023 the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) has considered that, in general, biometrics are not justified for clocking in; it requires an impact assessment and that there is no less invasive alternative. For clocking in we usually recommend a card or phone on the terminal, not the fingerprint itself. If you want to avoid it altogether, we set up card or phone clock-in.
Can I correct a clock-in an employee forgot?
Yes, but the correction is logged with who made it and when. That's what the regulations require: records aren't deleted, they're corrected leaving a trail.
Does the video intercom work without internet?
Inside the house, yes: the panel and monitor talk to each other by cable. Calls to your phone and remote opening need internet at the property.
Can you change just the lock, without a reader or system?
Yes. We install standalone electronic locks with a code or fob that don't need a computer or network. For a single door or a storeroom it's the simplest option.
