EXAMPLE · TAKEAWAY ORDERS CONNECTED TO THE POS

The customer orders on their phone. Your kitchen is already on it.

Try it yourself: pick dishes on the customer’s phone, send the order and watch it land in the restaurant’s POS. From the POS you send it to the kitchen, the ticket prints and you mark it ready for pick-up. “Bocado” is a made-up restaurant and nothing is sent here: it is a simulation.

HOW IT WORKS

What happens between ordering and pick-up

The same thing you just tried, in your venue and with your menu.

01

They order from your website or QR

They choose dishes, the pick-up time and whether to pay on collection. They open it from Google, Instagram or the QR in your window, no app.

02

The order lands in the POS

It appears in the takeaway queue next to the tables, with its number, name and time, and an alert sounds.

03

The kitchen gets the ticket

Once accepted, the kitchen receives it in its queue or on its printer, just like a table order.

04

Ready for pick-up

It is marked ready and closed when handed over. In the example the customer’s phone sees it instantly; in your venue, how the customer is notified depends on the POS software.

How does a restaurant in Tenerife receive takeaway orders in its POS?

For takeaway orders to reach the POS, the restaurant needs an online menu connected to its POS software: the customer orders from the website or a QR code, and the order lands on the same screen used for the tables instead of staying on the phone or on a separate tablet. OK Computer builds that menu and connects it to the venue’s POS in Tenerife.

With Last.app, for example, orders from its own online shop and from Glovo, Uber Eats or Just Eat reach the same POS as the dining room, and the kitchen sees them in a single queue. If you use different software, we tell you what can be connected during the visit. Either way, direct orders from your own website pay no commission per order.

The example on this page is a simulation running in your browser: it sends nothing anywhere and does not store the name you type. It lets you see an order’s whole journey before you decide.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions about takeaway orders connected to the POS

Can I receive takeaway orders in my POS without paying commission?

Yes, orders that come through your own website or QR pay no commission per order. Delivery platforms (Glovo, Uber Eats, Just Eat) charge their own; with Last.app those orders also land in the same POS.

Which POS do I need to receive online orders?

It depends on how the venue works. Last.app has its own online shop and receives delivery-platform orders in the same POS. If you already have Glop, BDP or Sysme, during the visit we tell you what can be connected to your software and how.

How much does a website with a menu and takeaway ordering cost?

A restaurant or bar website with a QR menu starts at €590 including IGIC, in Spanish and English, with the first year of domain, hosting and maintenance. Online ordering and the POS connection are quoted according to your software; you get a fixed written price before we start.

Does the customer need to download an app?

No. They order from a web page that opens on any phone, from Google, Instagram or the QR code in your window.

Does this example send my order anywhere?

No. It is a simulation inside the page: the sample POS is drawn in your browser, nothing is sent to any server and the name you type is not stored.
